February: Angel Portraits on the Eden Palais Carousel -- benefiting WINGS (Women In Need Growing Stronger) of Palatine, IL.

Local Photographer, April Graves is now scheduling portrait sessions on the Sanfilippo Carousel for young ones (girls and boys) to be featured in the 2013 Beautiful Things With Wings Calendars. Here's your chance to have your child included in this wonderful project. This annual, extraordinary project assists the WINGS programs and help create awareness of the support WINGS provides to women and children in need. March 17: Chicago Literary Hall of Fame, Concert & Dinner

Supporters of the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame and members of Chicago's literary and arts communities, and we hope YOU, will gather at the incredible Sanfilippo Estate on March 17, 2012, to present Gene Wolfe with the first "Fuller Award," acknowledging an outstanding lifetime contribution to literature.

The Master of Ceremonies for the award presentation and performance will be Gary K. Wolfe, Professor of Humanities and English at Roosevelt University and award-winning editor and critic.. Authors Neil Gaiman, Michael Dirda, Luis Urrea, Michael Swanwick, Peter Straub, Jody Lynn Nye, Patrick O'Leary, Audrey Niffenegger, and David G. Hartwell are just a few of the many luminaries set to pay tribute to the writer whose body of work, including the Chicago-set Free Live Free, distinguishes him as one of our city's finest literary treasures. An Organ Concert on the Mighty Sanfilippo Wurlitzer by Jelani Eddington is part of the evening, as is an optional Dinner Reception in the Carousel Pavilion, hosted by NPR's Peter Sagal (Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!).

March 24: Northwest Symphony Orchestra Fund Raising Concert Event.

An afternoon (2pm-5pm) concert fund raising event benefiting the Northwest Symphony Orchestra will take place March 24 in the Sanfilippo Music Theater featuring Organist Jelani Eddington. The Residence will be open before the concert for touring and the Carousel Pavilion will be open for visits after the Concert.

The Northwest Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1951, and continues to perform out of Maine West High School's Auditorium with a wonderful annual line-up. If you love Symphony Music check out this local Orchestra of dedicated musicians of the highest calibre. March 31: Journeys from PADS TO HOPE Fund Raising Concert Event.

Join Journeys from PADS TO HOPE for a fund raising Concert for HOPE, on the Sanfilippo Mighty Wurlitzer Theater Organ featuring Organist Martin Ellis. This event includes time to tour the magnificent Sanfilippo Collection in the Residence, followed by an uplifting, fun concert with a gifted organist. Journeys from PADS to HOPE assists men, women, and families in northwest suburban Cook County who have become or are at risk of becoming homeless. Focusing on intervention and prevention, the HOPE Day Center offers guests/clients mental health support, job counseling and referrals, and help in securing a permanent residence. As the days get colder, Journeys from PADS to HOPE opens 19 faith-based shelters, each providing a warm place to sleep and hot meals.

The Sanfilippo Foundation assists charities in helping themselves through the utilization of the Estate and its Collections for fund raising purposes. Since 1987, local, regional and National charities have raised millions of dollars for their causes through the Sanfilippo Foundation.
